Silicon manganese is a commonly used alloy material, widely applied in steel production, casting, electric power industry, and other fields. The production process of silicon manganese mainly includes beneficiation, crushing, hot blast furnace and silico manganese electric furnace smelting, casting, and other links.
Firstly, the production process of silicon-manganese is carried out using silicon-manganese ore as the raw material. Silicon-manganese ore is excavated from mines, crushed, and then impurities are removed using mineral processing equipment to obtain silicon-manganese ore with higher purity.
Next, the selected silicon-manganese ore is crushed. Generally speaking, silicon-manganese ore is relatively hard and needs to be crushed into particles suitable for smelting by crushing equipment. Commonly used crushing equipment includes impact crushers and cone crushers. During the crushing process, the particle size is controlled to meet subsequent process requirements.
Next, the silicon-manganese ore is smelted using a hot-blast furnace and an electric furnace. Firstly, the crushed silicon-manganese ore is added to the hot-blast furnace for heating, which evaporates the moisture and volatile substances in the ore and causes thermal expansion of the ore particles, thus creating conditions for subsequent electric furnace smelting. Then, the heated silicon-manganese ore is placed in the electric furnace and heated by electric current, causing the silicon and manganese in the ore to react chemically with the electrodes in the electric furnace, generating a silicon-manganese alloy.
Finally, the smelted silicon-manganese alloy is cast. Firstly, the molten silicon-manganese alloy obtained from electric furnace smelting is poured into the casting mold, and then it is cooled and solidified to form the required silicon-manganese alloy block. Depending on different needs, the silicon-manganese alloy can be crushed and sieved to obtain silicon-manganese products of different specifications.
