Silicon metal submerged arc furnace adopts hydraulic pressure ring, suspension cylinder hydraulic lifting mechanism, and independently developed ferrosilicon ore heating furnace electrode adjustment device, which is an automatic control voltage discharge device integrating mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic, water-cooled cable, space lattice copper tube short net copper reverse parallel connection, forged copper tile, etc.


The main equipment of feerosilicon production electric arc furnace adopts a semi-enclosed fixed furnace type with a low smoke hood.


Silicon metal submerged arc furnace process characteristics: self-baking electrodes are selected, and the furnace lining adopts carbon bricks and high-aluminum refractory bricks.


The ferrosilicon furnace plays an important role in the ore heating and smelting process in smelting.

Main Application of Ferrosilicon Furnace

The main application of the ferrosilicon furnace is to add qualified raw materials such as silica, carbonaceous reducing agent, steel scraps, etc. into the ferrosilicon furnace according to a certain proportion of ingredients.

The high-voltage power supply is input by the submerged arc furnace transformer, short-circuit system and electrode holder system, and the electrode is inserted into the charge for submerged arc smelting.

After a certain period of smelting, the iron is discharged into the ladle, crushed after casting, and quantitatively packaged and stored after finishing.

Characteristics of Ferrosilicon Furnace Equipment

1. The ferrosilicon submerged arc furnace adopts a fixed furnace body with two iron outlets.

2. Semi-enclosed low smoke hood structure.

3. Self-baking electrode, the electrode lifting adopts hydraulic manual and computer-controlled automatic lifting, the electrode is clamped by a cone ring, the conductive plate hydraulic cylinder is loosened, and two sets of friction rings and lifting cylinders are used to achieve automatic fixed-length pressing and release, and the electrode distribution circle diameter can be adjusted.

4. The short network (bus bar syastem) of silicon metal submerged arc furnace adopts a water-cooled compensator, water-cooled copper pipe, water-cooled cable and water-cooled conductive plate, and adopts a new energy-saving short net structure with an outer triangle layout.

5. The silicon metal furnace feeding system is a high-level silo chute feeding or manual feeding in front of the furnace.

6. Circulating water cooling, and the equipment is required to have a high-level backup water system to prevent damage to components caused by sudden power outages, and an over-temperature automatic alarm system is used.

7. The silicon metal furnace hydraulic system adopts a cartridge valve integrated block structure, and the hydraulic medium is water-ethylene glycol.

8. The Ferrosilicon furnace transformer adopts low-loss energy-saving transformer, which can be used for a long time with 20% overload, no-load electric voltage regulation, strong oil circulation water cooling and equipped with complete oil temperature and gas protection devices.

9. The electrode pressure and release control adopts PLC control, and the electrode lifting and lowering adopts manual control to achieve three-phase power balance.

Ferro silicon metal furnace is a closed, environmentally friendly and energy-saving solution for ferrosilicon smelting production. Preheating of ferrosilicon furnace can eliminate water and volatile components, thereby stabilizing smelting process conditions and reducing the unit energy consumption of the furnace.

Water spraying on the shell of ferrosilicon furnace and forced ventilation at the bottom of the furnace ensure effective cooling. The heat-conducting carbon lining combined with effective cooling forms a spontaneous freezing layer on the hot surface of the lining, which minimizes lining erosion and improves thermal efficiency.

The characteristics of ferro silicon metal submerged arc furnace are the use of carbon or magnesium refractory materials as linings and self-training electrodes.

The electrode is inserted into the charge for submerged arc operation, using the energy of the arc and the current passing through the charge, and the energy generated by the resistance of the charge to melt the metal, adding materials one after another, and discharging iron slag intermittently, and operating continuously.
