Induction furnace foundry are generally used to melt metals such as iron, steel, copper, aluminum, and precious metals using induction furnaces. The molten metal is then poured into molds and removed after solidification.
Medium frequency furnace are commonly used in foundries and metal processing industries because of their ability to precisely control the melting process. The foundry industry occupies an important position in the manufacturing industry, and the application of induction melting furnaces is a key link in this.
Medium frequency induction furnaces in the foundry industry can melt iron and other metals more efficiently. Thanks to technological advances in the past few decades, today's induction furnaces have not only greatly increased production capacity, but also significantly improved process guidance.
A foundry is a metallurgical plant that uses a furnace to heat metal to a molten state and then pours the molten metal into molds to produce metal castings. Aluminum and cast iron are examples of metals commonly processed in foundries. The types of products produced by metal casting plants range from cast iron cooking containers to highly advanced aerospace components.
Foundries heat scrap metal, turnings, and other similar alloys into a molten liquid state. This molten metal is poured into molds to create the desired shape. Forging produces hot metal billets and ingots, but the metal is not heated to melting point. In forging, heat and mechanical energy are applied to the metal allowing the shape of the metal to be manipulated while remaining in a solid state.
IF furnaces are used in casting to melt iron, steel, copper, aluminum, and precious metals. Once melted, the metal is poured from the medium frequency furnace into a mold. Once the metal solidifies, it is removed from the mold. This finished product is called a "casting".
Induction furnaces can be used in atmosphere or in a vacuum chamber. Induction melting furnaces have a key advantage over gas furnaces because they are able to convert solid metal into a less polluting (high return) liquid.
The advantages of medium frequency induction furnaces are the ability to precisely control the melting process, retain alloying elements, and reduce pollution. Therefore, induction furnace foundry can use IF to produce a variety of metal parts, such as various components used in the foundry industry.
