1. Check whether the electric furnace and oxygen supply system are working properly, confirm that the electric furnace has been powered off and disconnected from the power supply.
2. Check the oxygen supply system to ensure that the oxygen supply pipeline is unobstructed and the valve is in the closed state.
3. Confirm that the operator is fully equipped and wears protective equipment, including fireproof and explosion-proof clothing, protective glasses, earplugs, etc.
4. Check whether the connecting pipe of the oxygen lance is intact and firmly fastened.
1. Open the main valve of the oxygen supply system and slowly adjust the oxygen flow opening to gradually increase the oxygen pressure to the required value.
2. Adjust the position and height of the oxygen lance according to the furnace type and operation requirements. Under normal circumstances, the oxygen gun should be kept at a certain distance from the upper part of the furnace chamber to prevent oxygen from being directly sprayed onto the molten metal.
3. Open the air inlet valve of the oxygen lance and slowly adjust the air inlet flow to ensure that the oxygen flow is stable and avoid excessive or insufficient conditions.
4. Open the ignition valve of the oxygen lance and ignite the oxygen and fuel mixture. Keep a safe distance when igniting and use a long-handled ignition device.
5. Gradually adjust the injection angle and direction of the oxygen lance so that the oxygen flows to the smelting material and minimize the oxygen spraying to the furnace wall or other unnecessary parts.
6. During use, it is necessary to regularly check the oxygen flow and pressure to ensure that they are stable within the required value range.
7. At the end of the operation, close the ignition valve first, then the air inlet valve, and finally the main valve of the oxygen supply system.
8. After the operation, carry out necessary cleaning work, remove residual oxygen in the oxygen pipeline, and clean the dust and debris in the oxygen gun and related operating areas.
1. Operators must receive relevant training and understand the working principle, operating procedures and safety measures of the electric furnace oxygen lance.
2. During the operation, you should be alert and regularly check the working status of the oxygen supply system and the oxygen gun to ensure its normal operation. If any abnormality is found, the machine should be shut down for maintenance in time.
3. Operators should wear appropriate protective equipment to ensure their own safety. During the operation, the body must not be close to the oxygen gun and keep a safe distance.
4. Oxygen is a flammable and explosive gas. Fire prevention measures must be taken during the operation. It is strictly forbidden to use open flames or sparks generated by static electricity in the oxygen area.
5. Operators should follow the manual and relevant regulations, use the electric furnace and oxygen supply system correctly, and comply with relevant operating regulations.

During the blowing process, the oxygen lance often works in a state that deviates from the designed oxygen pressure. From the perspective of blowing effect and improving the life of the oxygen lance, the oxygen pressure is required to fluctuate between the design value and 1.2 times the design value.
In order to obtain the best oxygen lance life and oxygen blowing effect, good operation and necessary maintenance are necessary. The operator should check the erosion of the nozzle every day and calibrate the gun position, which is very important for the blowing effect, the life of the oxygen lance and the safety of operation.
The oxygen lance filled with water works in a high-temperature furnace. Once there is a large leak, the consequences will be very serious. The control equipment of oxygen pressure, water pressure and water flow, the lifting mechanism and the lance rack must be kept in good working condition. The hose joint should be checked regularly. The water flow, return water temperature and lifting mechanism are interlocked. Once an abnormality occurs, the gun will be automatically lifted and the oxygen will be cut off.
The end of the oxygen lance nozzle is most easily damaged under high-temperature radiation and the flushing of steel and slag. If the nozzle is damaged to a certain extent, the oxygen jet characteristics will change. Therefore, when the nozzle is eroded by about 10mm and there are abnormalities in the blowing and slag removal, the oxygen lance nozzle must be replaced in time. It should not be replaced until the nozzle is completely damaged.
