Our company's water-cooled cable factory specializes in the design and manufacturing of water-cooled cables. The production equipment configuration includes:
1. CNC lathes and milling machines are used to process various electrodes (cable heads);
2. A large microcomputer CNC winding machine is used to wind soft wires of water-cooled cables with different cross-sections and lengths, with cross-sections ranging from 25 to 6000 square millimeters; The length ranges from 0.3 to 100 meters, which can meet the needs of different users;
3. There is a highly automated water-cooled cable assembly line;
4. There are testing equipment for water pressure and voltage resistance. There is a comprehensive quality assurance system in place.
Widely used in welding equipment, intermediate frequency equipment, high-frequency equipment, electric arc furnaces, electric slag furnaces, mineral heat furnaces, etc. Its performance characteristics are as follows:
1. An electrode (also known as a cable head) is a contactless, solder free, and weld free copper rod that is machined on a CNC lathe or milling machine. It is aesthetically pleasing and durable; The connection between the electrode and the wire is made by cold extrusion, which does not damage the wire and has low resistance.
2. Outer sleeve, made of high-quality rubber hose, with a water pressure resistance of>0.8MPA and a breakdown voltage resistance of over 3000V. There is also a flame-retardant outer sleeve for users to choose from in special occasions;
3. For the fastening of electrodes and outer sleeves, copper clamps are used for cables below 500mm2, and 1Cr18Ni9Ti clamps are used for others, which are non-magnetic and rust free; Squeezing and fastening with large hydraulic equipment, beautiful and durable, with good sealing effect;
4. Soft wire is made by processing fine enameled wire on a dedicated winding machine. Soft, with a small bending radius and a large effective cross-section;
5. Using enameled wire for water-cooled cables results in high energy transmission efficiency. Due to the insulation between each enameled wire, it conducts medium and high-frequency currents without surface skin effect. Compared with other water-cooled cables of the same cross-section, it generates less heat when passing the same current;
6. Using enameled wire as the conductor for water-cooled cables can improve their service life. Due to the long-term immersion of the wires of water-cooled cables in water, the working environment is extremely harsh.
Previously, we used bare copper wire to make water-cooled cables. After using the water-cooled cable for a period of time, when we opened the cable jacket, we would see a layer of green copper rust on the surface of the wire.
Later on, we switched to using enameled wire for water-cooled cables because enameled wire has a protective layer of paint film, which can prevent corrosion. Users have reported that the service life of water-cooled cables made with enameled wire is 1.5 to 2 times that of bare copper wire.
