Magnesium bricks are widely used to build the walls and bottoms of alkaline electric arc furnaces. Magnesia bricks absorb molten silicic acid and iron oxides from the smelting process during use, and are strongly corroded by slag, which is the main cause of damage. The peeling off of magnesia brick surface is the result of internal stress.

(2) Using high alumina raw materials as the main material, producing high-density, strong thermal shock resistance, and good corrosion resistance prefabricated blocks for high alumina electric furnace covers can significantly improve the service life of the covers.
So what is the reason that greatly improves the lifespan of refractory materials? This is also attributed to Rongsheng Refractory's screening and control of castable aggregates.
The particle size composition of aggregates has a significant impact on the performance of refractory prefabricated blocks for high alumina electric furnace covers. In response to the actual production situation, Zhengzhou Rongsheng established a mathematical model for the relationship between the cumulative percentage of particles smaller than a certain size and the power exponent of particle size based on the theory of compact particle packing and the summary of the theoretical results of external material particle packing theory. The model was derived from the fractal distribution model of continuous size particles, and the theoretical particle size distribution was determined. Then, experimental verification and correction were carried out to study the influence of aggregate particle size distribution on the performance of refractory prefabricated block samples for high alumina electric furnace covers.
When studying the effect of aggregate particle size distribution on the performance of high alumina electric furnace cover refractory prefabricated block samples, 22% alumina fine powder, 5% CA80 cement, 3% binding agent, and 0.2% sodium tripolyphosphate were added in addition to the aggregate.
