1. Charging Principle
Ensure the smooth progress of the smelting process to meet the expected quality requirements of steel grades. Utilize materials reasonably and batch economically, satisfying both the variety and quality requirements while reducing costs.
2. Ingredient recipe

(1) When there is no water supply: The burdening for each furnace can be reasonably adjusted according to the condition of scrap steel. The number of burdening batches is 2-4 baskets, with a pig iron input of 20-40t, loaded in batches at the middle and lower parts of the first and second baskets. Pig iron must not be placed in the third and fourth baskets.
(2) When there is iron water supply: According to the condition of scrap steel, each furnace batching should be loaded with 2-3 baskets of material, and the number of feeding times should be minimized. The specific loading quantity per basket should be implemented according to the batching notice from the technical center. The material types should be reasonably matched to prevent the electric furnace from being overloaded.
● No power supply
The DC electric arc furnace chief will conduct batching according to the conditions of the iron water (weight, temperature, Si content of iron water, etc.) and refer to the following batching plan:

A good scrap steel basket weighing around 15-20 tons.
For starting a new furnace, reduce scrap steel by 5 tons and increase iron water by 15 tons based on the table above.
Before shutting down the furnace for maintenance, the last batch should have 10 tons less scrap steel and 5 tons less iron water compared to the data listed in the table above.
When the iron water quantity is insufficient or fluctuates greatly, timely adjustments should be made to ensure that the tapping temperature of the electric furnace meets the requirements of the process card.
3. The raw materials used in steelmaking should comply with the specifications in Chapter 2, "Technical Standards and Requirements for Steelmaking Raw Materials." When using iron alloy, the composition should be carefully understood and meet the technical conditions, and it should be weighed before being added in order.
4. The steel materials allocated need to be accurately calculated, with a yield rate of 90%.
5. The loading of the material basket must strictly adhere to the batching sheet and be signed and confirmed by the operation leader. The order of loading the material basket is as follows:
The bottom of the charging basket is covered with a layer of light scrap steel, and then steadily loaded with heavy scrap steel; the middle is filled with medium scrap steel; the upper part is filled with small and light scrap steel to fill the gaps. Charges that are not easily conductive are not allowed to be loaded in the charging basket.
The center of the basket, which is the lower part of the electrode. The scrap steel on the side of each basket near the furnace door should be loaded with light and thin materials, while large pieces should be placed in the lower part of the first basket, with 3 to 5 tons of light and thin materials placed at the bottom.
6. The loading height of the material basket must not exceed the upper limit line of the basket, and large plate-like scrap steel exceeding the standard cannot be loaded. If explosive materials, sealed containers, or colored metals are found, they must be removed.
7. After each batch of material is loaded into the basket, the furnace number, as well as the number and sequence of the incoming batches, should be clearly indicated.
8. To ensure the production pace, the loading time for each furnace must not exceed the specified time. If any equipment or instrument malfunctions, it is necessary to promptly contact the relevant maintenance department and have it repaired immediately.
