After adopting this design, the cross arm conducts electricity as a whole, greatly increasing its conductive cross-sectional area. Since the aluminum alloy electrode cross arm has no insulating plate isolation at the electrode chuck part, it will not cause arcing due to the accumulation of charged dust in this part, and damage the electrode chuck.
The all-aluminum alloy electrode cross arm has certain advantages in manufacturing cost because it does not use copper.
Due to the complex on-site working environment, in order to prevent the electrode cross arms from being corroded by cooling water for a long time, magnesium alloy composite materials are also needed for electrochemical corrosion protection, and the corrosion protection cycle is about 5 years. Under normal cooling and anti-corrosion conditions, the design life of the aluminum alloy electrode arm can reach more than 10 years.
